For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE ORACLES OF GOD; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat." (Heb 5:9-12)
"...Therefore leaving the PRINCIPLES OF THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment." (Heb 6:1,2)
Many in the present-day church system have yet to understand that the entire New Testament was recorded as the apostles gained spiritual understanding (revelation) of the hidden truths behind the literal, Old Testament writings. In the Book of Acts, the apostle Paul stated that he taught, "...none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:" (Acts 26:22) With this understood, my friends, its imperative that we understand that in the opening verse from Hebrews 5:9-12, above, the "FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE ORACLES OF GOD", were never meant to be some elementary list of basic teachings that we were all to have obtained from our first grade Sunday-school class, but rather a revelatory understanding of first three chapters of the Book of Genesis: the "FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE ORACLES OF GOD" from which the first-century apostles were drawing their revelation from!
If present-day Christendom would have done this, they would have gained a solid understanding by now of the "Doctrine of Christ" which would have laid the proper foundation for them to clearly understand the truths concerning "repentance from dead works, faith toward God, the doctrine of baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment". They would have been more than ready by now to take the apostles urgent advice and promptly "MOVE ON TO PERFECTION"! Instead, they have need that one teach them all over again the FIRST PRINCIPLES OF THE ORACLES OF GOD: The REVELATION of Genesis 1-3! Selah! ...TO BE CONTINUED
