THE UNMASKING OF LUCIFER!

Discovering His True Identity!

Many years ago, as I was gaining a growing interest in the ever-evolving, contemporary praise and worship movement, at nearly every opportunity which presented itself, I would quickly sign up for and attend any worship conference within a reasonable driving distance to my neighborhood (and a few not so reasonable, lol).  For the most part, the excitement present at those events always seemed to be ramped up into overdrive!  From the continuous introduction of the latest keyboards, synthesizers, and drum machines on the market, to the newest releases of Hosanna Music, Hillsong, and other up-and-coming groups, there never seemed to be a drought for those who were hungering and thirsting for more.  Live worship recordings, accompanied by the teaching and preaching of the most notorious ministers and worship leaders in the nation, would nearly always be waiting for the final evening's climactic event. And though many years have now come and gone since the church's initial transition into this era, I can honestly admit that I will always remember being a part of such an exciting transformation.

As was commonly the case with nearly every conference, in addition to the evening worship and preaching ministry, most events were also accompanied by a day-long selection of teaching sessions ranging everywhere from technical subjects, such as sound reinforcement and instrumental skills, to more specific, topical studies on various worship subjects such as the seven Hebrew words for "Praise", prophetic worship, spiritual warfare, and more.  It's here, however, that I must now jump ship for a few minutes, and begin to take a much closer look at one of the most popular teachings which would often present itself during these seminars; a teaching, which if truth be told, has done more harm within the minds of present-day Christendom than few other topics which I can currently think of (though I can think of a few)!  "What is it?" you're probably asking.  It's the present-day teaching concerning the infamous, beloved villain of the modern-day church-world: the teaching concerning Lucifer!

Just to shake things up a bit before we dive a bit more deeply into our study, let me begin here by asking a thought provoking question.  How did a word from the Latin Vulgate (i.e. the Latin translation of the Bible) ever find its way into the middle of our Old Testament Bible, when the bulk of the Old Testament was originally recorded in Hebrew?  Anyone?  For those who have never been made aware of this, the word "Lucifer" is not a Hebrew word at all; but rather a Latin word, which was substituted into the King James Bible by Jerome in the fourth century, at the authorization of King James himself.   You heard me correctly, my friends.  For reason unknown, in the fourth century, King James himself permitted Jerome to take the original passage from Isaiah 14:12, remove the Hebrew word "Heylel", and substitute the Latin word Lucifer into its place.  How convenient!  In fact, the word "Lucifer", which the majority of Christendom has gone hog wild and slop crazy with for centuries now, as they've attempted to assign it to Satan's proper name, is only mentioned one time in the entire Bible, and even at that, it only appears in the King James translation!  Let me say that again, my friends  The word "Lucifer" only appears in the King James translation!

Now, think about that for a moment.  Think about all of the times throughout the word of God that Satan is mentioned in one form or another.  Don't you think that with all of that publicity, his proper name would have at least been mentioned more than once?  What if every time we find the proper name "Jesus" written in the Bible, the writer would have simply said the "Son of God", except for one time?  Don't you think that would have been a bit odd?  But yet nearly the entire church-world, for years, has composed a dogmatic doctrine about how the word "Lucifer" is the proper name of Satan when the word "Lucifer" doesn't even belong in the Bible!  In fact, the Hebrew word "Heylel" which it conveniently replaced, is not even a proper noun.  It's a descriptive word which tells us something concerning the one to whom it's referring to, and in its original form, simply means "a light bringer, or light bearer", which we will return to discuss further in a few moments.  In the meantime, let's begin to make some headway into another important aspect of this study with the following passage below.

"And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon  was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil  and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." (Revelation 12:7-9, NKJV)

As we think back to our opening statements concerning our turn-of-the-era Praise and Worship Conferences, it's from that setting that the above passage must now come into play. For years now, the popular thing for the church to do with this passage from the Book of Revelation was to assume that "Lucifer" was Satan's proper name, and then teach it's people that Isaiah 14:12, and Revelation 12:7-9, are referring to the same event.  Major mistake!  Once they had this accomplished, they would then attach an additional passage from Ezekiel 28 (which we haven't even discussed yet) to the whole mess, and add even more fuel to their dumpster fire!  In doing so, here's the theory that they have now come up with. A nonsensical mess which has been routinely promoted as truth throughout the religious church system for years now!  See if you can recognize any of this, my friends.

By combining the three passages mentioned above, all while assuming that Lucifer is Satan's proper name, they've taught us that once upon a time, on the celestial shores of planet heaven somewhere, God the Father created a perfect, heavenly cherub named Lucifer.  What was his purpose?  Too lead all of the hosts of heaven into a glorious atmosphere of Praise and Worship before the throne room.  In fact, Lucifer was such an special, astonishing spectacle of God's magnificent creation, we're told in Ezekiel 28, that there were actually pipes and timbrels built into his very own body!  Initially, all went well as this blissful environment of peace and rest was completely unmatched by anything ever seen. But, as time passed, the pride and arrogance of such a prestigious position eventually crept in upon Lucifer, whom had since decided that he himself would ascend above the throne of his creator and become the ruler of the heavens. Suddenly, a war broke out in heaven as Satan and a third of the heavenly hosts attempted the coup of the ages against their Heavenly Father.  When the dust settled, however, the attempt had failed!  Lucifer (Satan we are told), along with a third of the heavenly hosts, had been violently cast from heaven into the late great planet earth below, where he's been a menace to all of creation ever since!  Sound familiar?  The sad part here, is that this entire teaching has been completely concocted by the mere assumption that Lucifer was the proper name for Satan.  Prove that Lucifer is not Satan, my friends, and this entire theory comes instantly crashing down like an unstable house of your favorite deck of playing cards!  Let's continue.

As we journey back again to our passage from Revelation 12, let me once again remind you that the Hebrew word "Heylel", from which the Latin word "Lucifer" was translated from, WAS NOT a proper noun. In fact, Lucifer is not the proper name of anyone, my friends, but rather a word which describes something about the one to whom it is referring to; and as we will soon find out, it is not Satan!  With that said, we now need to point out an extremely important truth concerning the Book of Revelation. Let's take a quick look at the first two verses of chapter one for a moment, and see if perhaps you can pick up on what I'm referring to.

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave (past tense) unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass (future); and he sent and signified it (past tense) by his angel (messenger) unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw (past tense)."  (Rev. 1:1-2, parenthesis added)

Here's what we have to understand from this. Please get this, my friends!  John the Revelator had received (past tense) a revelation concerning Jesus Christ while on the Isle of Patmos.  At the time which he received it, it was "signified" (given to him in signs and symbols), but again, it was past tense when he received the revelation from the messenger through signs and symbols.  Then, after he had received the revelation (past tense), he was instructed to write down what he had seen.  What was he to write down?  "°things which must SHORTLY COME TO PASS°"  The book of Revelation, therefore, was about events which were FUTURE to the time of John receiving the revelation!  Are you hearing me, my friends?  If so, then you will quickly understand that the event which we just described from Revelation 12, has nothing to do whatsoever with Lucifer being cast out of heaven, eons ago before creation, as the church has taught us all of our lives!  Nothing whatsoever!

In verse 19 of chapter one, when John is told to "write down the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter..", on the surface, it appears to contradict this, but we must understand the context from which that statement was made.  In verse ten, John heard a "voice behind him, as of a trumpet°".  In verse twelve, he "turned to see", the voice that spoke with him, and "being turned", he saw seven golden candlesticks.  So let's think about this for a moment.  When the voice behind John told him to write down the things which he had seen, the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter, was the voice suddenly disregarding John's earlier command to write down the revelation of Jesus Christ concerning "things which must shortly come to pass?  Of course not!  Get this , my friends.  If John heard a voice BEHIND HIM, and then turned to see a CANDELSTICK, where must John have been standing?  Of course, beloved, He was looking backward while standing directly in front of the veil, in the Holy Place of the Tabernacle!  He was standing in the second dimension, the second room of a three room tabernacle, which was mere symbolism of a three-fold experience which each and every believer is to go through as they grow up into Christ!  Therefore, the voice which was talking with John was not asking him to write about things in the past as far as some timeline goes, but was merely setting the scene of the future events which were about to happen as he passed through the veil into the Holy of Holies!  The statement "things which he (John) had seen", was referring to the Outer Court, which spoke of our initial SALVATION experience.  The statement "things which are" referred to the Holy Place, which spoke of the Pentecostal experience; and the "things which shall be hereafter" referred to the realm of the Most Holy Place, into which he was about to pass (future). The obtaining of all three experiences would bring about the complete and total Revelation of Jesus Christ, the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End!  Yes, indeed, the Book of Revelation is about events which were FUTURE to the time of John receiving his revelation.  Chapter 12 has nothing to do with Lucifer falling from heaven, my friends, which we will ultimately discover before we conclude this article, for Lucifer does not refer to Satan!

Let's return now to our passage from Isaiah 14:12, for a bit.  Just in case you're thinking I`m some sort of Lone Ranger here on this topic, allow me to refer you to a footnote on Isaiah 14:12, which can easily be found within any Classic Amplified Bible which includes reference materials.

"Some students feel that the application of the name Lucifer to Satan is erroneous, even though it is commonly taught to that effect. Lucifer, THE LIGHT BRINGER, is the Latin equivalent of the Greek word phosphorus, which is used as a title of Christ in II Peter 1:19 (...until the DAY STAR arise in your hearts.) and corresponds to the name `BRIGHT MORNING STAR' in Rev. 22:16, which Jesus called Himself. The application of the name Lucifer has only existed since the third century A.D., and is based on the SUPPOSITION that Luke 10:18 (I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven) is an explanation of Isaiah 14:12, which authorities feel is not true."

Before we conclude this article, I assure you, my friends, that we will most definitely discuss the passage referred to here from Luke 10:18; but for now, are you beginning to see what's happening here, beloved?  The Amplified footnote begins to throw out to us some extremely valuable clues here as to the true identity of this mysterious character we've called "Lucifer".  However, just in case you're trying to draw your conclusion from the above passage alone, you may want to refrain your judgement for the time being, for there's some major pieces of the puzzle yet to come!  The only reason that I included this quote at this point in our study, was to   reinforce the word "supposition" found in the footnote.  For it's truly a shame, that the majority of church-going believers today are currently only living in either the first or second dimension of the three room tabernacle, simply because their leaders have "supposed" that Lucifer was Satan's proper name, and as a result, have misinterpreted some of the very same passages to their congregants, which were actually intended to propel them through the veil!  Quite a costly supposition!

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (Isaiah 14:12)

What I would like to do now, is begin to hone in a bit on the true identity of the one whom the religious church system has called "Lucifer" for years.  In doing this, we're going to use the exact same logic that the church systems have been using, only this time, we're going to use it in reverse. While we are examining several clues here, we're going to "suppose" for a few minutes that Lucifer is not Satan!  By doing this, since the subject matter of Isaiah 14:12, is Lucifer, we can eliminate the possibility that this verse is referring to Satan and open up our minds to some other possibilities.  As we do this, the first thing which we must remember here is that the Hebrew word which Lucifer replaced is not a proper noun. It's not the name of anyone.  Second, the Hebrew word which should have been used here is "Heylel", which means "the light bringer, or light bearer".  And thirdly, in this particular passage, supposing that Lucifer is not Satan, SOMEONE STILL FALLS FROM HEAVEN (THE REALM OF THE SPIRIT) HERE!  Who could this possibly be, my friends?

Thinking back to our footnote from the Amplified Bible for a moment, a point was made there which stated that the Greek equivalent for "Heylel" (light bearer) was the word "Phosphorus", which is translated "Daystar", in 2 Peter 1:19, and "Bright Morning Star" in Rev. 22:16.  Both of those passages were speaking of Christ, my friends!  So are you saying that Christ was Lucifer, brother Don?  Absolutely not, for Christ never fell from heaven!  But allow me now to ask you a question, beloved.  Wasn't there another man in the Book of Genesis who was created in the image of God (Christ) who did fall from heaven (the realm of the spirit from which he was intended to dwell)?  Ahh, my friends, what if it was Adam who was created to be the "LIGHT BEARER" (Heylel) upon the earth but then fell from the realm of the spirit (Heaven) through the deception of Satan in the garden?  Let's continue on now, as we begin to add some strength to our case; but make no mistake about it, there are only two choices.  Either Lucifer refers to Satan, or it refers to Adam, who was the original "light bearer" to the earth!  I will say it once again, my friends.  Isaiah 14:12, has nothing to do with Satan.  Is was adopted and assumed, because Jerome "supposed" that "Lucifer" was the proper name for Satan way back in the 3rd century. King James authorized it in the fourth century, and the church has picked it up and ran with it without any biblical backing whatsoever, ever since!  Let's move on.

The next thing that our traditional teaching has taught us, is that Ezekiel 28, is a parallel passage to Isaiah 14.  Therefore, they've taught us that according to Ezekiel 28:15, "Lucifer", was created "perfect" from the very day of his creation.  But, here's where their theory encounters another major problem, my friends.  According to John 8:44, we are told that Satan was a "murderer from the Beginning"!  Do you see their dilemma here?  If their assumption is true, that Ezekiel 28:15, refers to Satan, whom they call "Lucifer", wouldn't it be rather difficult for "Lucifer" to be "perfect" from the day he was created, when we are clearly told that Satan was a murderer from the beginning!  You're absolutely right, my friends, it would be a mere impossibility!  However, once again, can we not see that before the fall, it was Adam who was created perfect, until iniquity was found in him, just as Ezekiel 28:15, describes below?

"Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee." (Ezek. 28:15)

Speaking of Satan in Ephesians 2:2, another important detail which we are clearly told by the apostle Paul, is that he is a "Spirit" which works in the children of disobedience.  On the contrary, in our passages above, Ezekiel 28, and Isaiah 14, we've been taught that both refer to Satan, whom they call "Lucifer"; but with closer examination, we quickly discover that in both instances, the subject matter being referred to is clearly a "man", which once again, "Adam" would definitely qualify as!

"Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man°" (Ezek. 28:2)

"They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms°" (Isaiah 14:16)

While we are still discussing references from Ezekiel 28, let's take a look at yet another supposition  which tradition  has repeatedly taught us.  They have taught us that the passage from Ezekiel here has got to be talking about Satan, because it refers to the subject in question as being a "cherub".  First of all, my friends, a future study into the topic of the cherubim would most definitely be in order, however, for now, let me ask you a question.  Where are we ever told in the scriptures that Satan was a cherub?  Again, we have only "assumed" this because we have been told that "Lucifer", who is referred to as the "anointed cherub", was Satan!   Secondly, why does the religious church-world suddenly get a mental picture of a little creature with wings flying around every time a cherub is mentioned?  Have they forgotten that much of the Bible is written in signs and symbols which point to spiritual realities?  Did not the Apostle Paul call himself an angel in Galatians 4:14?  What we do know from this passage, beloved, is that Ezekiel 28, talks to us about a "MAN" who walks about the precious stones of the Garden of God and calls THAT "MAN" the "°anointed cherub that covereth"!  Let me say that one more time if I may. In Ezekiel 28, a "MAN" is described as a "cherub"!  So, allow me if you would, to shout out a bit of news here for our propaganda crowd.  Satan was NEVER at any time the GUARDIAN of the Garden of Eden; and he was NEVER at any time the "anointed cherub that covereth"!  In fact, nowhere in the entire Bible has he ever been called and "angel", my friends; but it is said of him that he has tried to masquerade himself AS an "Angel of light" (2 Cor. 11:14). How has he done this?  Through propagating TRADITION as TRUTH in the form of ministers of the Gospel!

Truth be told:
-    It was Adam who was created perfect until sin was found in him (Ezek 28:15)
-    It was Adam that walked among the precious stones of the Garden of Eden as the anointed cherub that covereth (Ezek 28:14)
-    It was Adam who was the "man" of Ezekiel 28:2
-    It was Adam who was " full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty" as he was created in the image of He who is wisdom. (Ezek 28:12)
-    It was Adam in whom the timbrels and pipes were prepared from the day he was created, because he was created for worship (Ezek 28:13)
-    It was Adam who said at the fall "I will exalt my throne above the stars of God" (Isaiah 14:13)
-    It was Adam who said at the fall "I will be like the most high" (Isaiah 14:14)

Yes indeed, my friends, though Isaiah 14, and Ezekiel 28, are both descriptions of literal, historical events concerning the fall of two literal kings, the portraits hidden beneath those pictures primarily concern the events surrounding the fall of Adam.  Unfortunately, however, mainstream Christendom has created an absolute sacred cow out of these passages, simply by their supposition that Lucifer was the proper name of Satan!  Lest you think I'm out on an island with this word, I will quickly submit to you that in addition to the Amplified footnote which we already mentioned earlier, both the Matthew Henry Commentary as well as the Clarke's Commentary also agree that neither Ezekiel 28, nor Isaiah 14 are referencing Satan.

Before we seek to conclude this article, I'd like to first return for a few moments to our earlier passage from Revelation 12 concerning this "War in Heaven".  Now that we have discovered that Isaiah 14, and Ezekiel 28 are both describing events surrounding the fall of Adam from the Spirit Realm (Heaven), rather than the fall of Satan from a planet three miles south of Mars, as tradition has taught; could it be that Revelation 12, is actually describing the reversal of that fall, where the one who usurped authority over man in Eden (Satan), is finally overcome and cast out through a heavenly war within?  Let's take a closer look.

"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (Rev. 12:1-11)

We must first notice here, that once again, the word Lucifer is nowhere to be found in this passage.  Why not?  Because as we have now discovered, Satan was not Lucifer.  He was not the "light bearer" who fell from heaven in the Garden of Eden!  Adam was!  So, knowing that, as we examine Revelation 12, here, we have to make a conscience effort to separate the event being described, from both Isaiah 14, and Ezekiel 28; for these three passages are not all referring to the same event as we've been taught all of our lives!  Secondly, we must also not forget, that according to the first verse of the Book of Revelation, the events which are described within were to be events which would "soon come to pass", from the time in which John received his revelation, not things which happened prior to the Adamic fall.  Therefore, as it would only make sense , in Revelation 12, we still find Satan alive and well in the realm of the heavens here; for it was not he who fell in Isaiah 14, and Ezekiel 28, it was Adam all along!

Just a couple of weeks ago, I heard the pastor of a large, independent, church in the area read a passage  of scripture concerning the "Kingdom of God", to his congregation during a live stream message.  Immediately following the reading, as he began his message, he proceeded to tell his people that the "Kingdom of heaven" referred to a placed called "Heaven" which every believer will go to someday.  If that be the case, I have a couple of questions for this pastor, concerning these traditionally held beliefs that have been commonly kept by many for years now.  If the "Kingdom of Heaven" is a place in outer space somewhere, which a believer will go to when they die, how is it that in one of the parables concerning the "Kingdom of Heaven", that Satan was able to sow "corrupt seed" among the "good seed" if he was supposedly cast out of Heaven eons ago?  Additionally, why would the apostle Paul, in Ephesians 2:2, tell us that Satan was the "°Prince of the power of the air", if he's been confined to the earth now since the pre-Adamic age?  Anyone?  Unfortunately, my friends, the correct answers to these questions will never be found until our present-day church systems drop their beloved traditions, and stop thinking geographically concerning these issues!  For according to Jesus, the master teacher himself,  the Kingdom of Heaven is WITHIN YOU (Luke 17:21)!

In revelation 12, therefore, along with the truths that we've already discovered, the heavenly battle described between Michael the Archangel, and Satan and his angels, was not a pre-Adamic one which occurred eons ago, in a place three miles south of Mars, but rather a right here and now battle which is presently going on within the spirit of our mind; for according to Jesus' own statement, heaven, speaks of the realm of the spirit within, my friends.  Do you remember the story of Nicodemus?  In John chapter 3, in response to one of Nicodemus' questions concerning being born into the Kingdom, Jesus replied the following in verse 13:
"°no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man WHICH IS IN HEAVEN!

Can you hear that beloved.  At the very moment in which Jesus was standing there replying to Nicodemus, he told him that he was IN HEAVEN!  Heaven, therefore, according to the master teacher, is not so much a geographical location as it is a higher dimension in the Spirit Realm!  It's Paradise, it's Eden, it's the Kingdom of God that he had come to restore right here on earth! The war of Revelation 12, is not a thing of the past, and it's not "up there" somewhere; it's within you in the right here and now!  Did not the Apostle Paul also tell us in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, that " the weapons of our WARFARE are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down of IMAGINATIONS, and every high thing that exalted itself against the KNOWLEDGE of God?  Isn't it interesting then, that the "war" which we are involved in concerns both our "imaginations" and our "knowledge"; and both of these, my friends, are traits and aspects that are involved with the MIND!  It's time, therefore, for the church-world to begin to think internally concerning these spiritual issues, rather than continually laying hold of the "up there", "down here" mentality.  As we keep this in mind, let's begin to take a closer look at one of the main characters in the picture here, as well as his purpose for being involved with the battle in the first place.  Let's take a look at Michael the Archangel.

In the very first verse of the Book of Revelation, John tells us that the Book was "signified"!  In other words, it was written in code!  It was written in signs and symbols which if ever understood, would point us to the actual spiritual reality of that which was being talked about.  So what should we be after here?  Our goal should always be to discover the underlying revelation concerning the signs and symbols, not the signs and symbols themselves.  So, allow me if you would for a moment, to take a closer look at Michael the Archangel.  The word Michael simply means: "one who is like God".  But, if that clue isn't enough, let's continue to proceed by adding in the actual breakdown of the word "Archangel".  The word Archangel, is a transliterated word which comes from the word "archaggelos".  Archaggelos, is a compound word formed from the words "archo", which means "chief or first", and "aggelos", which means "messenger".  So, let's put it all together now and see what we come up with.  Michael the Archangel simply means, the "Chief Messenger who is Like God"!  Now, I may not have been born yesterday, my friends, but who does that sound like to you?  You're exactly right!  He's none other than Jesus Christ, the chief messenger who is like God!

So, think about this for a second.  At the very moment in time, that the Christ of God arrives within you through the person of the Holy Spirit, what do you think begins to happen, my friends?  Right again!  A war breaks out within the heavens of your very own mind as "Christ", the chief messenger, immediately goes to war against Satan and his messengers (aggelos – angels).  The goal of this battle?  To remove Satan from his inward dominion which he's exercised over mankind since the fall in the garden!  Not to get into the contents of my book again, but the objective of Michael and his angels  (messengers) here, is to assist in the birthing of the "manchild", which was mentioned in verse 5 of this chapter.  How does this all come about?  Let's take a moment here to review a few of the major concepts from some of our earlier articles.

For those who may remember, according to John 1:12, when a believer first experiences initial salvation, at that moment in time, his Spirit within is awakened to the works of  Calvary, and through the acceptance of those substitutionary works he gains the legal right, or authority to be called a "son" of God. However, the important concept that we gained there, was that the Greek word which was used for "son" in that verse, was the word "Tek-non", which simply means, "a babe or immature son".  The problem here, we discovered, is that a few books later, in Romans 8:19, we are told that all of creation is eagerly awaiting for the manifestation of the "mature sons" of God, not the babes!  The word for "sons" here in the Greek, is the word "huios", which means "a mature, or fully grown son" So, something has to happen here, my friends.  There has to be a transformation, a birthing from a babe in Christ, to a fully grown, mature Son; for Paul tells us in Galatians 4:1, that "the heir, as long as he remains a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all"! In other words, all of the promises belong to us as a babe (the heir), but until we become mature by birthing the Christ (the Image of God) within, we just cant seem to get them manifested!

A little later in the same chapter, however, Paul then explains to us that the burden of his apostolic calling, was to travail in BIRTH again, until Christ (the Image of God) be formed in a people.  Travail in WHAT again?  Ahhh, my friends, now I believe we're headed somewhere; for the entire purpose of our war in heaven in Revelation 12, is to aid in the BIRTHING of a Manchild!  What's absolutely fascinating, beloved, is that the English  word which is translated "manchild" here, is the exact same Greek word that we find in Romans 8:19.  It's the word "Huios", a MATURE SON!  So, the birthing of the "manchild", is nothing more or nothing less than Christ, the holy spirit within, multiplying himself , by reforming the Image of God (Christ) within you, just as he was commanded to do way back in Genesis 1:28!  Be faithful and multiply°..!

So very sad when you think about it, my friends.  For the majority of Christendom is entirely missing out on one of the key passages concerning their spiritual development, simply because they've assumed that this entire passage concerns a battle which occurred with Lucifer thousands of years in the past. But Let's keep progressing.  One of the major reasons that traditional teaching has tried to link this passage to Lucifer, is that once again, in Ezekiel 28:14, Lucifer was described as a cherub. So, in Revelation 12:4, here, they assume that one-third of the stars falling from heaven to the earth refer to Lucifer's angels who were cast out during his attempted coup.  Nonsense, my friends, absolutely nonsense!  Let me first say that this passage is the only passage anywhere in all of scripture which mentions "one-third" of anything falling from heaven; but more importantly, if they would simply take a closer look here, it's not God who's doing the casting out in this verse, it's Satan, the Great Red Dragon! So in Revelation 12, we are talking about TWO SEPARATE EVENTS that are going on in the heavens (spirit realm) here.  In one mystery, Christ is doing the casting out, while in the other, Satan is doing the casting.  None-the-less, in the verse talking about "one-third" of the stars being cast out of heaven, it's Satan doing the casting, not God!  Tradition loses again!  In one passage, we are being shown by revelation what Satan is currently doing; but in the other, we are shown what God is currently doing.

One important concept here that we must keep in mind however, is that the heavens being spoken of are not "up there" somewhere geographically, but rather right within the heavens of the "spirit" of our mind. Notice that the apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:23, that we should be renewed in the "spirit" of our minds!  The results of the warfare, therefore, that's currently going on within the minds of mankind at this moment, are completely determined by one obvious factor.  What spirit is currently in charge?  In verses 3 and 4 of this chapter, we find a situation, where during a night season (time when the stars are out), Satan is being described as a Great Red Dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, whose tail is successful at drawing one-third of the stars out of heaven and casting them to the earth.  Let's attempt to bring some insight to this passage as we compare "spiritual things with spiritual"; but remember, in these two verses, it is Satan who is casting out one-third of the stars, not our heavenly father.  Do you really think that Satan would cast out his own messengers (angels)?

The first thing we must understand here, is the numerology of the passage. Throughout the scriptures, the number "SEVEN" speaks to us of that which is brought to completion or "PERFECTION"; and the number "TEN" speaks to us of the "LAW".  In addition to this, a "HORN" in scripture represents "STRENGTH OR POWER", while the "HEAD" in scripture speaks to us of " GOVERNING HEADSHIP OR LEADERSHIP".  So what do we have at this point?  We have a description of the vehicle through which Satan, the Great Red Dragon, is using to draw a third of the stars out of heaven.  We have a leadership company, or spiritual ministry, that's governing  in this very hour, who's still giving strength and power to PERFECTION THROUGH THE LAW: LEGALISM!  And, if that isn't enough evidence for you, the PROPHET Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 9:14-16, that, "The PROPHET that teaches lies, HE IS THE TAIL!  Are you catching on, my friends?  The tail of the dragon speaks to us of false teachers and prophets who are misinterpreting and mishandling the Word of God to preach legalism instead of grace!  Let's continue to build our case.

Stars, are luminaries, and luminaries are lights!  Following me?  Psalm 119:105, tells us that, "Thy WORD is a LAMP unto my feet, and a LIGHT unto my path".  So, if we put two and two together here, we discover that the "stars of heaven" which are spoken of in Revelation 12,  represent the spiritual luminaries, or heavenly REVELATIONS of the "Word of God", which are designed to guide us through the dark night of our soul, as the Image of God is being formed within.  Also, as we've discussed before in many of our other articles, when we talk about the Word of God in this manner, we're not talking about the literal black words which are pristinely printed on the snow white pages of our bibles, my friends, but rather the underlying SPIRITUAL REVELATION of those words. Look at what Paul had to say about the matter.

"Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life." (2 Cor 3:6)

Can you here that, beloved?  The heavenly luminaries of the Word of God are not the literal interpretation of it, for all that the literal can do besides give us a great history lesson, is lead us into death!  So, when Revelation 12, speaks to us of the "stars of heaven", it's actually only the spiritual interpretation of the word that's being referred to.  It's through the understanding of the "line beneath the line", and the "precept beneath the precept" that our Heavenly Father has always intended to bring us into life with.  And yes, I'm going to say it now.  It's "the third part" of the stars of heaven!  The portion of the word of God that can only come from "the third part" of the tabernacle from behind the veil!

Can you now begin to understand the mystery of what John was seeing here, my friends?  Without getting into the contents of my book again in this article, let me just say this.  Corporately speaking, the "woman" here in Revelation 12 speaks to us of the spirit-filled church as it travails in birth from a many-membered "Teknon"  ("child", verse 4), to deliver a many-membered "Huios", ("manchild", mature son, verse 5), who's been fully formed into the Image of God.  However, we must also understand that this birthing into a mature, corporate body, only occurs as one person at a time goes through an individual experience, which Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15, will happen, "every man in his own order"  On an individual level, therefore, the "woman" of this chapter represents the SOUL of man as she goes through the necessary dealings and processing's which bring her back into union with the SPIRIT again.  A union which was lost or "veiled to her understanding" through the condemnation which came about at the fall.  So, all that this passage is really telling us, is that during this time of development, as far as Satan's activity is concerned, there are false teachers and prophets ( Satan's angels (messengers) i.e. the "TAIL OF THE DRAGON"), who are taking the heavenly luminaries ("stars") or truths of the Word of God,  which were always intended to be spiritually interpreted, and are casting them down into the "earth" realm of natural interpretation!

Yes indeed, my friends, Satan has indeed transformed (masqueraded) himself into an "angel (messenger) of light"!  Nowhere else in scripture is he ever mentioned, or referred to, as being an angel, except 2 Corinthians 11:14, where the word for "transformed" means to "masquerade", or present oneself as a false identity!  Through false teachers and ministries, this phony headship company, which is still preaching LEGALISTIC PERFECTION, by attempting to make the first-man Adam acceptable to God through a list of do's and don'ts, Satan and his messengers ("angels") are having an absolute hay day with the majority of the spirit-filled church!  Through constant accusation night and day, for not holding up to their self-imposed lists of legalistic righteousness, a spirit of condemnation is running absolutely rampant within the overwhelming majority of Christendom, for they have yet to receive of "THE THIRD PART" of the heavenly luminaries, which only present themselves to those behind the veil!

Therefore, can we not now see, that in Revelation 12:3-4, it is not God casting out Satan and his angels, from a geographical place called heaven to a geographical place called earth, but rather Satan's false messengers (his "tail") within the heavens of the "spirit" of our minds, exchanging the spiritual truths of the Word of God for natural, earthly, carnal religion?  Is there any wonder, then, why it's of absolute necessity for a War in Heaven to break out in Revelation 12:7-9?  As a believer begins to hear the soul-stirring shouts of the voice of the archangel, through the life-changing truths of the spiritually interpreted word, hear a little, there a little, a glorious message concerning the revelation of His righteousness begins to clearly unfold as Christ, the Image of God, continues to be formed from within.  With each progressive piece of heavenly illumination, the long-held grip of Satan and his demonic messengers take less and less effect within the enlightened realm of the once darkened SOUL, until suddenly, without notice, at Michael's final war cry, the "woman" (soul), is triumphantly "caught up", to her former union with the SPIRIT (male) within.  Through this process, "every man in his own order" there's a glorious overcoming of the inner war within, through the birthing of a mature Son, a manchild, the Christ of God!  Through this process, as was predicted by the words of Paul, in 1 Timothy 2:14-15, the "WOMEN (soul/church) WILL BE SAVED THROUGH CHILDBEARING"!

"And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.  But WOMEN WILL BE SAVED THROUGH CHILDBEARING°" (1 Tim. 2:14-15)

With this said, notice something which is stated both here and in Revelation 12, my friends. The woman (SOUL) does not experience salvation until the child is birthed within!  She is not saved until the manchild, the Christ is fully formed within  Let's take a look at the intended result of this ongoing war between Michael and his messengers, and Satan and his.

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." (Rev. 12:9-10)

Can you hear that my friends?  First and foremost, according to verses nine and ten, YOUR SALVATION HAS NOT YET COME (or been completed), until the War which is taking place within the heavens of your mind has been once and for all settled  concerning righteousness. How did I come to that conclusion? According to verse 10, the benchmark by which one will know that the war is over and salvation is come, is that there will be NO MORE CONDEMNATION!  Why not?  Because when Satan, "the accuser of the brethren" is cast out of the heavens of your mind, CONDEMNATION CAUSED BY ACCUSATION HAS TO FLEE!  So, how is he cast out?  By gaining a revelation within, that your right standing (righteousness) before the father is no longer based upon anything that you have or haven't done, but by accepting through faith, the eternal truth that the righteousness which Christ gained on resurrection morning was forever gained for you as well.  Your behavior, my friends, however good or bad, will never contain the power to undo the results of the finished work of Christ!  Let me say that one more time, my friends.  Your behavior will never have the power to undo the results of His behavior!  Never!  Why not?  Because his behavior completely fulfilled the Law, and according to Paul in 1 Corinthians 15, "°the sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law"!  In other words, if their AINT NO LAW (pardon my English), SIN NO LONGER HAS ANY POWER; because Satan no longer has a list of rules to pin your sin to in order to bring about accusation!  When we get a revelation of this, brethren, we are "caught back up" to the same heavenly realm in which Adam originally dwelt.  A realm in the fullness of the spirit entirely without the Law!

Based on past experience, however, I'm well aware of the fact that as soon as you speak like this around anyone from the religious church scene, you're immediately accused of using Grace as a license to sin!  Those who bring about such accusations, however, have no idea, whatsoever, of the revelation of which I speak, no of the true, biblical response which I'd certainly love to sit down and explain to them; but unfortunately, in this article, I have neither the time nor the space to thoroughly address such an issue.  However, I will say this much about it.  In the exact same chapter in which the Apostle Paul addresses the issue of having NO CONDEMNATION, which is Romans 8, he later states of those people whom have received that revelation that, "NOTHING SHALL SEPARATE THEM FROM THE LOVE OF GOD"!  NOTHING!  So who gave the religious church systems of our day the right to reestablish this never-ending list of self-righteous rules, which Christ gave his life for in order to take away?  Perhaps if these ministers of condemnation would quit guarding the pulpit microphone as if it were a bar of solid gold, and open up the floor for some Apostles and Prophets to speak, the untold mysteries of the Kingdom of God, which they're holding, might answer some of their questions and free all of us up!  I've got to digress, my friends; I'm about to start throwing chairs!

The second thing which we need to grasp from verses nine and ten above, is that not only does COMPLETED SALVATION not come until this War within the mind is concluded, but the Kingdom of God (Life in the fullness of the spirit realm) doesn't come on a personal level either!  Do you remember the words of both the repentant sinner, as well as Jesus's immediate reply, as the two of them hung at Calvary?
" And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise." (Lk. 23:42-43)

Notice a very important concept here, my friends.  What the repentant sinner called the KINGDOM, Jesus called PARADISE.  They are one in the same!  Now listen to this, beloved.  According to common Jewish speech pattern, as well as many Jewish scholars, when the phrase "in paradise" is used in the scriptures, it's a reference to one and only one place: THE GARDEN OF EDEN!  What's the significance of this?  The Kingdom of God, Paradise, and Eden are all referencing the same thing!  Therefore, according to Revelation 12:9-10, the purpose of the War in Heaven, is to complete your salvation by returning you all the way back to the Garden of Eden where Adam was before the fall, the Kingdom of God on Earth!

The Garden of Eden, therefore, as we have just discovered, is a symbolic picture of the blessed realm of the "Presence of God" right here on earth. It's the realm of the fullness of the spirit!  As we are each "caught up", on an individual basis ("every man in his own order"), Satan in turn is violently "cast out to the earth".  What do I mean by that?   I don't actually mean that Satan has gone anywhere, for what actually happens, is that you and I simply ASCEND to a higher dimension of the spirit and leave him completely behind in the lower realm of the dust of the carnal mind!

Though we could spend much more time concerning the birthing of the manchild, in this particular article, I'm going to refrain from doing so.  The primary reason that I've gone as far as I have to this point, is to simply add some explanation to this mysterious passage concerning the War in Heaven!  Lucifer is nowhere to be found, my friends, because Lucifer, the light bearer, never was Satan in the first place.  Though I dare not go into it here, a close examination of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16, in my book " The Splitting of the Adam, It's Time to Awaken!", will show that there is a direct parallel between that passage, and the final moments of this War in Heaven!

As we attempt to close, I would be completely remiss if I didn't quickly make mention of one final passage which the religious church system has continually tried to link to their theory concerning Lucifer: Luke 10:18.

"And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." (Luke 10:18)

First of all, we must quickly make mention again, that the name "Lucifer", is nowhere to be found in this passage, for  once again, Lucifer is not a proper noun! It has simply been assumed that it was the proper name for Satan!  So before we discuss this passage, let me just interject a thought here that many may now be asking.  Many of you may be legitimately asking yourselves the following question: "If Lucifer is not Satan, and Satan was not a fallen angel, then what's his true identity and origin"?  Great question, my friends, and here's your answer.  Another time, another place, and another article! LOL!  Let's move on.

In Luke 10:18, above, the common thing for religion to do with this passage has been to link it to the supposed Pre-Adamic fall of Lucifer in our earlier passages from Isaiah 14, and Ezekiel 28.  Nonsense, my friends. Again, Lucifer is not a proper name!  So, if we were to link this passage up with the actual meaning of the Hebrew word "Heylel", from Isaiah 14:12, which is "light bearer", Jesus would be making the following statement in Luke 10:18: "I beheld the light bearer as lightning fall from Heaven!  Can you see how ridiculous this sounds, beloved?  Why  would Jesus say that he saw God cast a "light bearer" out of heaven?  Absolutely nonsense, my friends. Again, Satan was never a "light bearer", he was a MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING!  Adam was the "light bearer", created "perfect" (in the Image of God) until iniquity was found in him!  So what was it that was actually happening here in Luke 10:18?  A proper placing of this verse within it's actual context will give us a much better explanation.

In Luke 10:1-17, Jesus puts together, and anoints a group of 70 elders (two by two), as His personal representatives, to go forth into the cities and countryside to minister on His behalf.  He clearly tells them in verse 9, to say to those whom they are ministering to that the "Kingdom of God" had come nigh unto them.  And, what was the principle that we just discovered from Revelation 12:9-10, my friends?  When the Kingdom Comes, Satan is cast out!  Throughout  the 3 ½ year ministry of Jesus of Nazareth, over and over again, the power of Satan was forced to completely bow down to the power of the Kingdom of God which was operating through our savior.  Now, in Luke 10, Jesus delegates his power and authority to a group of 70 and basically says, "You go and do as if I were there"!  When the 70 return in verse 17, they were rejoicing greatly and said "Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through they name"!  Now, having heard that, do you really think that Jesus was suddenly going to talk to them about some pre-Adamic, Heavenly war, concerning an angel named Lucifer, whose name doesn't even exist?  Of course not!  He's going to explain to them an extremely important concept of the Kingdom of God!  It's simply this.  Wherever the power of the Kingdom of God is activated, Satan's sphere of influence in that particular area of a person's life is immediately cast out and overcome.  Whether it be health issues, financial issues, family issues, or another, when his true, delegated ministers finally a ride on the scene, his controlling influence has got to bow the knee; and that's all that Jesus was saying here when the passage is placed into context.

While the 70 Elders were only focusing upon the outward, manifested results of their initial, Kingdom journey, Jesus' emphasis was to help them understand the underlying SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLE which was actually taking place through those manifestations.  A spiritual principle, which if truth be told, shall soon re-occur in the earth with multiplied ramifications; for there's about to be a birthing in the earth like nothing ever witnessed, my friends!  Through the glorious manifestation of the mature Sons of God, the miraculous work's of those original seventy elders, will become nothing but a fading memory in comparison to the greatest release of Kingdom power and authority that the planet has ever witnessed; but this time,  the life-long work's of Satan and his messengers (angels), will come crashing down to the earth with a final, devastating blow.  As one kingdom minister has so aptly put it: "Through the work's of Jesus, at Calvary, Satan was completely and thoroughly defeated; but through the works of his MANIFESTED SONS, the earth will finally be rid of his influence"  Not to be separated from this influence, my friends, are the multiplied myriads of religious traditions that have thoroughly infiltrated the pristine pulpits of modern-day Christendom; and as we've certainly just discovered, the life-long teachings concerning our precious friend Lucifer rise very near to the pinnacle of these deadly, worthless traditions. For Lucifer has nothing to do, whatsoever with Satan, my friends; but merely the original "LIGHT BEARER" to this great, heavenly planet we call earth!  HE WAS ADAM BEFORE THE FALL!  Selah!
